"Marina Locals United is a community action committee organized by the concerned citizens of Marina. We are dedicated to providing service within the community and a unified voice for the betterment of Marina. We believe that Marina is the gateway to the Monterey Peninsula and as such should demand respect from the surrounding communities. We believe that the leaders of Marina must put Marina’s interests first according to the will of the citizens. We believe that public safety is of the utmost importance and that the Police and Fire Departments should be supported and respected. We recognize that Marina is a diverse community and we will strive to protect and cherish that diversity. We also recognize that we are blessed to live in a place with a unique environment and pledge to support sensible conservation efforts. Marina has a rich history that is linked to the former Fort Ord and as such stands in support of those who are and have served our great Nation in the defense of our freedoms. We are one Nation and one community united under God. We, Marina Locals United, are dedicated to preserving the heritage of Marina while promoting our future."
